Hi, I'm Mel

Soul Coach, Yoga Teacher & Mindfulness Coach

For many years, I lived behind a mask, letting the “shoulds,” “supposed tos,” and comparisons dictate my life. I became completely disconnected from who I truly was.

 

I was a perfectionist, people-pleaser, and busy mom, hiding the imperfect side of my life—the burnout, negative self-talk, and lack of self-worth. I kept this up until I could no longer hide.

 

In 2017, I began experiencing debilitating panic attacks and was diagnosed with depression, osteoarthritis, and an autoimmune thyroid condition. My body, which I had neglected for so long, forced me to stop.

 

That was my wake-up call. I realized I needed to seriously reassess my life and well-being to live authentically, fully, and happily.

 

It became clear that I wasn’t supporting my mind and soul. Despite having everything I thought I wanted, I felt empty and numb. I had forgotten who I was, what I enjoyed, and what fulfilled me.

 

I started practicing yoga and meditation, prioritizing time for myself. I embraced daily practices that nourished my soul—walking in nature, journaling, listening to music or podcasts, and taking candlelit baths. Gradually, my energy returned, and I began to feel motivated, inspired, and excited about life again.

 

Healing also meant looking within. I delved into the layers of beliefs and conditioning that had dimmed my inner light. I uncovered the patterns of self-doubt and perfectionism that had held me back and began cultivating a deep sense of compassion, self-worth, and alignment.

 

I learned to set boundaries, speak kindly to myself, and trust my inner wisdom. Most importantly, I began to believe: I am enough, I am worthy, and I am powerful.

I found my way back home to my true, authentic self. Now, it’s my greatest passion to help you reconnect with your beautiful body, mind, and soul.

Soul Food Academy is designed to help you connect with your true self, enabling you to thrive in a lifestyle that supports and nourishes you on all levels.

During our 4 months together, I will support you in increasing your motivation, creating positive change, and holding you accountable.

I will help you overcome obstacles such as fear and self-doubt, and assist you in creating goals that will take you where you want to be.

These calls are for you to bring any questions you have related to the mind, body, soul work we are diving into during Soul Food Academy. They will be LIVE and drop-in. On these calls you will receive personalized coaching on specific areas where you would like extra assistance.

If unable to make these LIVE calls, you will have direct messaging and email support with Mel.

In this module, we start to dive deep into the intricate tapestry of our lives, unraveling the threads of our unique stories. The better we understand ourselves, the easier it will be to navigate life and make new choices that support YOU.

This module guides you on a journey to reconnect with your body through awareness, nourishment, and acceptance, fostering a deeper, more compassionate relationship with yourself. You will learn to.....

  • Tune into body cues and sensations to understand your physical needs versus emotional responses.

  • Expand “nourishment” to include food, relationships, and experiences that support your well-being.

  • Build compassion and body acceptance by practicing body neutrality and self-compassion.

  • Deepen body connection through gentle movement, breathwork, and grounding exercises.

This module is your starting point, where you are right NOW.

  • Where are you now and where do you want to be?

  • What/how you got to this moment

  • Get clear on your values, dreams and goals

  • Simple, actionable ways to start reconnecting to yourself

Nourishing your soul is self-love in action and is vitally important to the health and balance of your life. When you take the time to intentionally nurture your soul, you create space for magic to flow into your life.

In this module we will cover:

  • People pleasing & how to set healthy boundaries

  • How to reclaim your self-worth & start loving yourself again

  • How to nourish your soul through intentional self-care practices

  • Manifestation & how to make your dreams your reality
